Implementation of interactive movement and learning walls for an active and digital learning environment in Riga

The project involves the implementation of a pilot of interactive movement and learning walls in two Riga municipal schools, aimed at creating a modern, active, and engaging environment for students outside regular lessons. The project includes the installation of interactive projection walls that combine physical activity with digital educational content, enhancing student engagement and motivation.

These interactive walls allow students to learn through movement using digital games in Latvian, developing logical thinking, reaction speed, cooperation, and communication skills while making breaks more active and meaningful.

The Significance of the Project for Riga

Modern education requires active and motivating environments that promote physical activity, cognitive development, and social interaction. During school breaks, opportunities for movement are often limited, especially indoors or during плох weather conditions.

At the same time, Riga is transitioning to a unified school system where education is delivered in Latvian, creating a need for innovative tools to support language acquisition beyond formal lessons.

The project addresses both challenges by creating an environment where students can move, learn, and use Latvian in a natural and engaging way, contributing to a modern and technology-enhanced education system.

To create an active, safe, and educational environment for students outside regular lessons by introducing interactive movement and learning walls that combine physical activity with digital content, promoting students’ physical, cognitive, and social development, as well as supporting Latvian language acquisition.
