The project “Digital 3D Virtual Tour of the ‘Mežciems’ Social Care Centre in Riga” has been successfully completed

The 2026 project “Digital 3D Virtual Tour of the Riga Social Care Centre ‘Mežciems’”, implemented with the support and funding of the Riga City Municipality Innovation Fund, has been completed at the Riga Social Care Centre “Mežciems”.

During the project, an interactive 3D virtual tour was created, offering clients, their relatives, students and other interested parties the opportunity to explore the centre’s premises, environment and the services on offer remotely.

This digital solution improves access to information and social services, promotes the centre’s openness and public awareness of social care services, and fosters an environmentally friendly, paperless approach. The experience gained from this project may serve as a model for the implementation of similar solutions in other social care institutions run by Riga City Municipality in the future.
